If you’re reading this, I hope you are well. I hope you are healthy, thriving, on your way to success, and finding joy in every day. Most importantly, I hope you are living a life full of LOVE.
three DECADES in, I realize that love is all that matters…before you roll your eyes, I am single. Currently devoted to my God, my family, and my self. Sharing the love is easy though. Or so I thought.
three DECADES in, I realize seeing my self as God sees me and truly believing it with all of my soul is the first step to loving my self as He does. When we fully love ourselves, flaws and all, then can we boldly and confidently love others. When we can look in the mirror and forgive ourselves for our own shortcomings, for our own mistakes, for our scars, for our own self-inflicted pain, THEN can we genuinely extend that love and grace to others.
Easier said than done because though I’m the type of person who wears my heart on my sleeve..I’ve been commanded to guard my heart (Proverbs 4:23).
three DECADES in, and I want to share a meal with a stranger, extend my hand to people hurting, pray in a different language, and “love the woman I’ve become, because I’ve fought to become her.”
with much love,
